After a stressful week of essay deadlines and long shifts at work, I thought it was about time I treated myself. On Saturday morning after my staff meeting, I wandered into Topshop and Primani to celebrate the submission of essay number 11, my final essay of the year!! (I'm still in denial about the 4 exams I have in 3 weeks time but hey ho!) Loaded down with bags, I headed for the train station to catch the train to Lincoln to visit a couple of friends. A Dominoes takeaway, Nando's, Slug and Lettuce, a game of monopoly and a karaoke night later (yes I'm cool - and fat) I returned to Nottingham with yet more shopping bags after a successful day shopping in good old Lincoln. After popping home for the night to see the fam, I made my way back to Nottingham with my mum and you guessed it... went shopping again. WORK HARD, PLAY HARDER RIGHT?

My Faves
Yep, I bought a lot! My personal faves are the Topshop monochrome trousers pictured below on Daisy Lowe in the reverse colours. I've wore them pretty much every day since I bought them. They're a sort of silk material so they feel really nice and they are bang on trend with the monochrome print. I wasn't keen on the monochrome trend before but these trousers have completely changed my opinion!
I'm also in love with the fringed bag from New Look. It looks so expensive - my housemate even thought it was from Topshop!
I can't stop staring at my new bra's from Primark, they are just so pretty! Again, they are such good quality they look like they're from Topshop!! I can't get over the fact the polka dot set was only £2!!!
I'm so happy that I finally got my hands on the velvet kimono from Miss Selfridge. In a previous post, I mentioned how badly I wanted it but it had sold out. I was on a mission to hunt it down on ebay and I did!! It's exactly the type of thing I'd normally go for. It has vintage written all over it.
As for the Topshop heels - just wow! A completely unplanned purchase. I was trying on my outfit for my Sports Ball and realised that my Zara heels looked REALLY big on me. I guess it's my own fault really. I tried them on in the shop when I first bought them and noticed that they were too big even though they were my size. I was in panic mode so I bought them anyway. They are gorgeous shoes but realistically, I couldn't wear them to my ball. I looked stupid. I went back into Zara to find some new heels and had the same problem again. Heads up to anyone buying shoes from Zara, their sizing is messed up! If you are a size 5 like me, buy a 4! It was getting late and I was starting to panick. Last resort - Topshop! I find it really hard to find heels that 1. I like and 2. actually fit me (I swear I have dodgy feet) so when I found a pair that ticked both boxes, I really didn't care about the price. Topshop, I knew you'd save the day!
Sorry for the ridiculously long post guys! It's so hard keeping detail to a minimum when I could literally sit and talk about clothes all day long! I'll be doing some outfit posts of all my new clothes very very soon :) Until then, have a lovely weekend!
