Primark, River Island, Topshop & Monki haul

I buy so many clothes but can never get motivated to post them on my blog! Every so often it gets a bit out of control so today I'm going to post everything I have bought recently in one giant shopping haul! Prepare yourselves, it's a long one.

Like most people, I always go in to Primark with no intentions of buying anything but somehow I always manage to come out with a bag full of clothes that I probably don't need! I've been spending so much money recently that I REALLY didn't want to see anything in Primark that I liked, but the prices are just too good to refuse sometimes. A lot of the time Primark is full of rubbish, but my god have they stepped it up for a/w!!! I wanted EVERYTHING. I picked up a few things that I liked and went into the changing rooms thinking that nothing would look right or fit me properly (Primark stuff can look awful sometimes!) and with no intentions of really buying anything that I had picked up. Typical, I was having one of those 'good changing room days' where everything I tried on looked really nice.. I could almost hear my purse crying from my bag!!!

Primark £12

I've always loved the black and white fuzzy square print of my Topshop trousers, so I was instantly drawn to the print of this sheer shirt which is quite similar. I tried it on with my boyfriend coat and heeled boots (which I was already wearing to go shopping in) as this is pretty much all I'm going to be wearing this a/w, so I needed to see if it all looked nice together. I love pattern in general, but I especially loved the fact that you could see the pattern of the shirt peeking through my opened coat. It just looked so chic so I knew I had to get it!

Primark £10

I've wanted a black quilted top ever since I saw Lily Melrose wear one a few weeks ago, but there was no way I was going to spend £50 in Topshop for the one she had! I was searching all over Primark hoping to find a quilted top that I liked when I came across this skirt. I've never been interested in buying a leather skirt but this one was different, it was quilted!! I liked it but thought to myself 'do I really need it? I pretty much live out of my black skorts, do I need another skirt?' but my mum really liked it so forced me to try it on. I can only wear certain tops with my skorts because they aren't high waisted (I think they're meant to be but they aren't on me) whereas the leather skirt was high waisted, so maybe it would come in handy after all? For a tenner, there's no harm in having another black skirt that will go with things that won't go with my skorts. Or so I keep telling myself...

Primark £9

I love dark green, I love baggy clothes and I love tartan, need I say any more? It's nice to have green tartan in your wardrobe to mix things up a little, I mean there's only so much red tartan someone can own right? I already have a red tartan top and I'm planning on buying a red tartan scarf too.. one thing I definitely don't need is anymore red tartan! They only had a size 14 left in the shirt which was perfect for me because I wanted to wear it oversized and baggy anyway. I like things that are long enough to wear with tights if I'm not in the mood for jeans. It looks really nice with my boyfriend coat and heeled boots too!

Primark £12

I used to own the Topshop version of these shoes in white but I sold them on eBay last week because I knew I wouldn't get much wear out of white shoes in the winter. I saw the black version in Topshop the other day and was so close to getting them until I fell in love with the Topshop 'Aubrey' boots, so I decided against them. That was until I saw my best friend post these beauty's from Primark on her blog a few days ago for the ridiculous price of £12?!!!!! They are 100x nicer than the Topshop ones too, so simple and vintage inspired! They kinda look like an old pair of granny shoes that you'd find in a charity shop which y'know, I kinda like. I'm still gonna wear my heeled boots all winter but I wanted a pair of shoes that I could wear with jeans and bare feet, as personally I don't think these shoes look that great with tights. The size 5 were really big too so I ended up getting a size smaller, fingers crossed that they won't rub!

River Island £22

I NEVER shop in River Island, their clothes just aren't my style at all. Nevertheless my search for a black quilted top led me into what can only be described as Rihanna's idea of heaven.. seriously, they were even playing her album??! ANYWAY, I battled my way through the basketball shirts and camo print leggings and came across this adorable white knitted t-shirt I guess you could call it? It's so delicate and the deal breaker was definitely the backless cut out. I've never wore anything backless before but I just thought this would be so cool to wear on a night out over my skorts/black leather skirt as it shows just the right amount of skin without it being too 'in your face sexy'. Subtle, sophisticated & sexy I like to call it. Okay I totally just made that up but I guess it sums up what I see when I look at this little white number. Oh and apparently RI doesn't do student discount like I'd always presumed? That's me told.

Monki £25 + £6 p&p

This dress looks awful on the hanger but it is literally my favourite dress EVER. I love unique patterns and things that are a bit different and out there, what's the point in being boring y'know? It's quite long so I'd probably wear it as a midi dress in the day with my boyfriend coat, tights and heeled boots. In the evening I'm planning on wearing it hitched up with a thin black belt to make it into a mini with loads of black and gold accessories. It sounds hideous but trust me, it works! I'm not going to say much more because I'll probably be doing an outfit post on this soon so keep an eye out for that :)

Topshop Sale £9 with student discount

I've spoken about this jumper before but the camera wasn't very good so here's a nice clear photo for you all! This is my FAVOURITE jumper at the minute, I've been wearing it non stop. It's so slouchy and cuddly and I love how grungy it looks. It goes with everything and I instantly feel cool whenever I wear it. Effortless fashion at its best.

Topshop £36 with student discount

I had to return my beloved Topshop tunic because it was too small and just didn't fit properly *crys* BUT when doing so I came across the exact same tunic in a range of new patterns for me to lust over, thanks Toppers! I'm sure you all know by now that I love a bit of pattern, so I was instantly drawn to this lovely snakeskin print and HALLELUJAH they had my size! Like the Monki dress, I can wear it as a midi in the daytime or hitch it up with a belt of an evening with silver and black accessories. It's such a sophisticated dress and the silk feels lovely against your skin, I can't wait to wear it on a night out sometime!

Topshop £52.20 with student discount

Last but not least, say hello to my new biker jacket!!! I needed a new jacket because my old one is about 5 years old and it was starting to look really tatty with the amount of holes it had in it. Never in a million years did I think I was going to get one from Topshop, I was planning on going to H&M! I saw this one in the petite section of Topshop and it was exactly what I had in mind.. loads of buckles and zips etc. I tried it on just to see what it was like and before I even had the chance to look in the mirror my mum had decided that I was having it. My mum is definitely my number one shopping partner, sad I know, but most of the time she knows my style and knows what I like. I couldn't justify spending that amount of money on a faux leather jacket, but my mum wasn't taking no for an answer. She wanted to buy it for me but I felt so guilty, I really didn't want her too. Mums will be mums... she insisted and suddenly I had a brand new leather jacket. Worth the money or not? Hmmm. It is really pretty though!

....AND BREATHE.
