My Motel via eBay coat has finally arrived and I love it so so much! It fits exactly how I'd want a boyfriend coat to fit.. slouchy and oversized without looking like a sack of potatoes. The coat is actually quite old (I think it first went on sale on the Motel website in 2011) so I was so lucky to come across it on eBay as it's definitely one of those hidden gems that you don't come across very often! I was the only person to bid on the coat (as if!) so I managed to get it for £41 including p+p which is ridiculously cheap for a boyfriend style coat. In Topshop, you would pay around £80 for something like this! I love the dark grey tweed effect and the fur around the collar as it adds texture and gives a bit of an edge to an otherwise boring and quite basic coat. I knew when I bought it that it wouldn't be the warmest coat in the world (it's really quite thin) but that's nothing a thick jumper or cardigan underneath can't solve. I just want winter to hurry up already so I can wear it!!! I've resorted to wearing it around the house because it's so pretty I just want to stare at it all day!! It's the type of coat that looks equally as nice with skinny jeans and heeled boots or with tights and flat lace up boots, so I know it will go with absolutely everything in my wardrobe. This is exactly the type of outfit I will be wearing to my first lecture back at uni, I can't wait! xo
