white ruffled bedspread/blanket, mongolian fur cushion, white stool, white mirror (no link) £7 Dunelm Mill, acrylic make-up storage
My room has recently been decorated and as promised I wanted to share it all with you! My wallpaper, bed, carpet and furniture has all stayed because I didn't think they were THAT bad that I had to spend loads of money replacing them (although in an ideal I would have done!) I was going to buy the MALM dressing table from Ikea that EVERYONE has but after seeing it in person I wasn't that convinced (it looked cheap and really badly made) so I just stuck to my old (slightly very grubby) one. The main things I have changed are the colour of my walls, curtains, light shade, bedding, cushions, blankets/throws, mirror, desk chair and accessories on my desk and shelves. It's still really feminine and girly which I love but it's a lot more grown up than before and a lot more minimalist, which makes it the perfect place to relax and wind down of an evening! I obviously filmed this in the day but there's nothing I love more than lighting my candles in the evening, turning on my fairy lights and chilling on my bed listening to Ed Sheeran on Spotify. Perfection!
Like most bloggers, I really wanna try and get in to youtube at some point so I thought this would be a nice way to ease me in without having the dreaded 'talking to the camera' awkwardness. Plus it's a lot easier to show what a room really looks like on video than in photos so I hope I did okay and I hope you enjoy watching! Obviously it's my first attempt so it's not perfect (a lot of shakiness, bad lighting near my window that I couldn't resolve, bad continuity with the candles etc) but hopefully I'll get better the more I make!
I've linked above everything that's new but if you wanna know where anything else is from then just ask me in the comments :)
Lovely post! I absolutely love your room--it makes me want to redo mine now! And I was just listening to Ed's album and paused it to watch your video, so I thought mine was still playing! (his album is perfection by the way). Also, I love this as an idea to ease into YouTube, as I would love to get into YouTube myself. Great post over all, and I can't wait to read more posts!
