I've been trying to save my pennies a lot recently (more on that another day!) but I still couldn't resist a few payday treats. I mentioned the New Look fur clutch in my previous post and it's seriously the most amazing thing ever! It's such a statement piece I'm already planning my staff xmas party outfit around it!
Next on my list was skincare. My skin's been a bit up and down recently (probably due to lack of rest/working too much/feeling a bit run down) so I decided to invest in some high end products that I'd heard a lot of good reviews about. Well, I guess you can't really consider Lush 'high end' but still, I'd say £11.50 for a tiny pot of cleanser is taking the piss a bit. It is really good though and so far I'd say it's definitely been worth the money. Ultrabland digs deep into your pores and REALLY cleans your skin, inevitably leaving it looking and feeling a lot healthier and clearer. Another product I decided to invest in was La Roche-Posay Effaclar Duo, a cream that targets oily and blemish-prone skin as well as acting as a really great primer under make-up. Lily Melrose speaks very highly of it (as do online reviews) so I thought I'd give it a go, but at £15.50 it's definitely not cheap! Both of these products really seem to be helping though so I'm over the moon!
Because my hair's so long, I generally find that my ends get really dry and wispy. I've been using the Dove Nourishing Dry Ends Serum to rectify that and so far it seems to be working quite well. The MUA Heaven and Earth eyeshadow palette is really good too - who needs Urban Decay eh? And like every other instagram'er in the world, I picked up a copy of this months Elle with a free tester of Benefit's They're Real! Push-Up Liner to see what all the fuss is about. Lets see if it lives up to its hype!
That MUA eyeshadow palette looks amazing, the colors are gorgeous! I have yet to try a face cleanser from Lush but that one looks wonderful!
