HIYA! Remember me?
Not gonna lie, I've completely disowned my blog recently. With starting a full time job and travelling to the other side of the world, my blog hasn't exactly been my priority. Not only that, I've completely lost interest in fashion and beauty blogs as everyone is basically copying each other and posting about the same 'knee high boots' and 'triangl bikini'. DULL springs to mind.
Travel and lifestyle posts however... those I can read. I love reading about people's lives and experiences and you know, things that actually matter. There's only so many photos of a Mac eyeshadow palette you can see in one day before you seriously begin to question the human race and what it is they regard as 'important'.
So, with that in mind, I thought I'd do the wanderlust tag. Travel is something I've been passionate about for years, something I love reading and talking about, and something I hope to do more of in the future.
Where have you travelled to that you would love to visit again?
I've just come back from Australia but I'd go again in a heartbeat. I made some really close friends when I was out there so I'd love to go back and visit them again! I'm actually thinking about moving there in a year or so, it's the most amazing place in the world.
Where was your first plane to?
I was born in Northern Ireland so I went on a plane to England when I was 2 weeks old to see my grandparents.
You're leaving tomorrow, money is no object, where are you going?
This is a hard one! I have a long list of places I want to visit starting with a month travelling West > East in the US, then Canada, Hong Kong, China, Japan then ending in Oz and NZ. Hopefully this will be a reality once I save my pennies (it could take a while!!)
Preferred method of travel: planes, trains or car?
I'm a massive plane geek and one of those weirdos who LOVES flying so planes obv.
Top three travel items?
Boring practical things like...
iPhone - for photos, google maps and contacting peeps
Travel document holder - made my life SO much easier
Portable phone charger - because we all know iPhone batteries last about 10 minutes
Favourite travel website?
Contiki. I've just been on a Contiki tour and I'm constantly on there planning my next one. They are honestly such good value for money and I would seriously recommend them to anyone. I'm obsessed with FunForLouis on YT too.
Where would you travel to just to eat the food?
I'm definitely someone who likes trying local delicacies when I'm abroad (I tried and loved Kangeroo when I was in Oz!) I guess it'd be pretty cool to try an authentic Chinese in China or a Mexican in Mexico (Mexican is my absolute FAVE).
Is there a place you would never go again?
Spain is of no interest to me whatsoever, so I can't see me going back there any time soon.
Can you recite your passport number from memory if asked?
DEFINITELY NOT.
Do you prefer window, aisle or middle seat?
Take it from someone who did a grand total of 44 hours flying this month... the aisle seat is the way to go! To the point where I'd beg the Emirates staff at regular intervals for one. During long haul flights, you need to be able to get up, stretch your legs and go to the toilet whenever you want. When the guy next to you spends the majority of the flight sleeping, trust me when I say you do not wanna be stuck in the corner by the window when you need the toilet!
How do you pass the time on the airplane?
Eat, sleep and watch films!
Let me know if you do this tag, I'd love to read it! x
