Primark haul

Celebrations are in order, I've finally finished my exams and my second year at uni wooooo! After a month of living in the library and revising everything from the Carolingian Empire of the 8th Century to the Spanish Civil War and Franco's dictatorship (being a History student is such fun... not) I can finally get back into blogging and give myself a well deserved 4 month break!

My last exam was on Thursday morning so after a spot of lunch and a Malibu and coke at the SU, I went straight into town to treat myself to some new bits and bobs.

Chunky gold chain necklaces are everywhere at the moment so I really wanted to invest in one as it's a simple way to jazz up a boring outfit. For something that will go out of fashion pretty quick, I didn't wanna pay Topshop/Asos prices so I was buzzing when I found this one in Primark for £6.

Normally when I buy polka dots it's always navy/white but I loved the fact that this was black/white so it tied in with the monochrome trend as well. It's also a bit different from the other polka dot stuff I own because the circles are a lot bigger, AND the contrast sleeves are just so cute. I wore the blouse (£10) and the gold chain with my black high waisted shorts and my black heeled boots on Friday night (below) but for a more casual look I'd wear it with my turned up black skinny jeans, my black satchel and some sandals.

(Sorry for the bad picture quality!)

2 polka dot purchases in one day, I'm well and truly obsessed. This is pretty much identical to the Motel cropped polka dot shirt I wanted a few months ago, but for a third of the price! For £10 the quality is actually really good, it doesn't feel cheap at all. I can wear this with absolutely everything so I'll probably get a lot of wear out of it this summer.

I'm a sucker for silver costume jewellery so I bought this gorgeous leaf ring for £1.50.

Okay so this isn't from Primark but I thought I'd post about it anyway. This denim dungaree dress was £20 from boohoo.com and is literally so perfect for summer. It's tight fitting and quite short but I just think it's so cute. I'm obv gonna Alexa it up (my new phrase for styling a piece of clothing how Alexa Chung would) and wear it with a striped tee or my cream blouse underneath. Can't wait to wear this when I'm in London next week!

I really do love a good bargain!
