Phew what a day! I've just arrived home after a longggg day of travelling from London and I'm absolutely knackered. But I'm not letting that put me off, oh no. Packages awaited me as I walked into my bedroom and I was so excited that I tried my new clothes on straight away and took some outfit snaps. I LOVE my new skirt so much that I got a bit too carried away with my camera and ended up taking photos of loads of different outfits with my skirt as the statement piece. Who knew a blue skirt could be so versatile? I'm so happy with how all of the photos have turned out and I'm DYING to show you them butttt I'm going to be patient and spread them out over a week or so. Therefore this week shall be renamed 'blue skirt week'... has a ring to it don't you think ;)

I fell in love with this skirt the second I saw it on Motel's website and I knew it would be perfect for a night out. It wasn't until I was experimenting that I realised I could dress it down and make it a bit more casual, which is always a bonus. Granted, this outfit does not do the skirt justice - you can barely see it! But I kinda like how you can see the blue poking out of the bottom of my jumper, it makes a plain black outfit a bit more interesting! I just love how quirky it is!! The style of the skirt is very 60's but the pattern is very 70's.. how retro! I'm in love with my new juju jelly shoes too, they're so comfy! I'm small and curvy so I decided to get the heeled version to give me a bit of height and to make my legs look longer. I swear heels do wonders to my legs!
