Recent buys | Topshop, New Look & Primark

1. I've never been a fan of bright red lips (it's just too bright for me), which is weird because I'll quite happily wear a deep plum colour which is pretty out there. I love the gothic vibes it gives off which is perfect for a/w. It's the first lipstick I've ever bought from Topshop and I'm quite impressed, it feels so smooth and velvety when you apply it and I just love the colour so much. Definitely going to be wearing this a lot this winter!

2. I've wanted a holographic clutch for a while now and after searching the internet for ages, I finally came across this Zara dupe paper bag style one from New Look. At £15.99 it's quite expensive and the most I have ever spent on a clutch bag but I just couldn't resist. I'd wanted one for ages so I think I would have regretted it if I didn't buy it. The paper bag design is so quirky too. Love it.

3. Okay so on the New Look website it says, and looks, like the kimono is black but I've gone the past 2 weeks thinking it was dark green, oops. It looks horrible on the photo but I can assure you it's a lot prettier in real life, and a lot greener (or maybe I'm just deluded). I already own a kimono.. I definitely didn't need another one but it caught my eye as soon as I saw it and I knew I had to buy it. I love how oriental it is and how gothic it looks when I wear it with my new plum lipstick from Topshop. I think it was £27.99 which is such a bargain when the exact same thing is being sold in Topshop at the moment for £50.

4. I've stolen these socks from the Topshop website but I actually bought an identical pair from Primark. I've wanted a pair of silver sparkly socks for ages but they stopped selling them in Topshop a few months ago. They're back in stock now but I decided to get the Primark pair instead to save myself a few quid. Can't wait to wear them on a night out with some heels.

5. Matte nail varnish is SO nice, don't you agree? I needed a new black varnish because my old one went horrible and gloopy so I jumped on the bandwaggon with this matte one from Topshop. I got my nails done for the first time ever the other day (serial nail biter, never good!) and asked the woman to paint them in the black matte and I was so happy with how they turned out. For once in my life I have pretty hands, yay!

P.S. I apologise for stealing some of these photos from the internet. I'm at home (family home, not uni) at the moment for my reading week so I can't photograph anything but I really wanted to do this post. Forgive me?

P.P.S. I also bought a cobalt blue jumper, a silver chain necklace and a black and gold rope necklace from Primark but I can't find photos of them anywhere. When I'm back at uni I'll post them for you asap!
